Celebrating Anthony Barr’s Legacy
This September, we celebrated Anthony Barr's remarkable 10-year NFL career and his enduring legacy as a ‘Man for Others’—someone who lifts people up and measures success by his impact on others.
While Anthony's achievements are impressive–553 tackles, four Pro Bowls, and that unforgettable game-winning touchdown against Tampa—his true impact extends beyond football. For nearly a decade through Raise The Barr, he has invested in single-parent students pursuing higher education, working to break cycles of poverty two generations at a time.
As Anthony transitions from the field to full-time community champion, we're launching the Anthony Barr Legacy Fund to ensure his mission continues.
Your donation doesn't just honor a football legend—it invests in dreams, ensuring Anthony's legacy lives on in classrooms and communities where single-parent scholars and their families are building brighter futures.
Join us at The Royalston on July 17, 2026 for an unforgettable evening marking ten years of impact. The celebration will feature unique food and drink pairings, compelling stories from RTB scholars, a live auction, opportunities to invest in the next decade of family-centered student success, and other fun and interactive opportunities to support our scholars and their children.
RTB Honored California Student Parent Summit Award
This September, Raise The Barr was honored with the California Student Parent Summit Award in the INSPIRE category—recognition of our bold leadership and inspiring commitment to advancing single-parent scholar success in higher education.
The honor reflects what we see every day: single-parent students are resilient, determined, and deserving of support that meets them where they are. At the Summit, critical needs emerged that guide our continued work:
The path forward is clear: Single-parent students need accessible childcare, a sense of belonging, streamlined support systems, centralized resources, and peer connections. These aren't just services—they're the foundation that allows parents to focus on what matters most: their education and their family's future.
This recognition energizes our mission. When student parents succeed, entire families rise—and communities transform.
