What is The Huddle on 5th?
The Huddle on 5th is California’s first affordable housing community exclusively dedicated to the families of single-parent students. Developed to address the unique challenges faced by this population, The Huddle provides stable, safe, and affordable housing integrated with comprehensive wraparound services. This holistic approach empowers scholars to persist in their education, graduate, and secure family-sustaining careers.
The Huddle on 5th is currently fully occupied. However, we are accepting applications for The Huddle on 5th’s waitlist. If an apartment becomes available, we will reach out to eligible scholars on a first-come, first-served basis. To find out if you’re eligible, fill out the form linked below.
Who Can Participate?
The Huddle serves single parents with lower incomes who are currently pursuing a degree or career-track training. To be eligible, the parent must live, work, or attend school in Yolo County. Priority is given to those who have experienced physical violence.
