Brenda Coronel

Brenda is a compassionate clinical social worker with over four years of experience in counseling, bringing a deep understanding of mental health and public health to RTB. She is highly skilled at supporting diverse populations, managing high-stress situations, and fostering collaborative therapeutic relationships.

Brenda earned her master’s degree in social welfare and a bachelor's degree in sociology from UCLA, following an associate’s degree in psychology. She currently serves as a clinical social worker therapist at R&R Healing Family Therapy Incorporated, where she provides dedicated support to individuals and families navigating emotional and psychological challenges.

As former RTB scholarship recipient, Brenda went on to serve as the organization’s Whole-Family Outreach Program and Emergency Grant Coordinator. Now, as a proud member of RTB’s Board of Directors, she is passionate about paying it forward—advocating for other single parents to achieve their educational and career goals, just as RTB supported her and her daughter, Zoey. Brenda brings both lived experience and clinical expertise to her advocacy, making her a powerful voice for equity, empowerment, and 2-gen transformation.
