Our goal for this event was to match the $50,000 we have committed to emergency grants in Minnesota and California for the upcoming year and we exceeded it! Now we have a new goal of $60,000 by July 31, 2020!

In March 2020, in an immediate response to the early impact of COVID-19, Raise the Barr issued emergency grants totaling $17,500 in 24 hours to all Raise the Barr scholars.

We are asking for your help to expand our emergency grant programs for our parenting students and their children.

Parenting students are more likely to be low-income, first-generation college students, and women of color. Our families are especially vulnerable to the economic impact of the Covid-19 epidemic and to the daily injustices of systemic racism. We will continue to fight alongside them for equitable access to post-secondary education.
